Chuck Jackson (baseball)
Charles Leo Jackson (born March 19, 1963) is an American former professional baseball player who played mostly third base in the Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Houston Astros in 1987 and 1988 and the Texas Rangers in 1994. Career Jackson attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa and was drafted by the Astros in the seventh round of the 1984 Major League Baseball draft. A third baseman, abbreviated 3B, is the player in baseball or softball whose responsibility is to defend the area nearest to third base — the third of four bases a baserunner must touch in succession to score a run.
