Chrome Engine is a proprietary 3D game engine developed by Techland. The current version, Chrome Engine 6, supports Mac OS X, Linux, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows. Chrome Engine evolved through over nine years of development. Google Chrome is a cross-platform web browser developed by Google. It was first released in 2008 for Microsoft Windows, built with free software components from Apple WebKit and Mozilla Firefox. Versions were later released for Linux, macOS, iOS, and also for Android, where it is the default browser. High-dynamic-range rendering (HDRR or HDR rendering), also known as high-dynamic-range lighting, is the Rendering (computer graphics), rendering of computer graphics scenes by using computer graphics lighting, lighting calculations done in high dynamic range (HDR). This allows preservation of details that may be lost due to limiting contrast ratios. Video games and Computer animation, computer-generated movies and special effects benefit from this as it creates more realistic scenes than with more simplistic lighting models.
