Chroma (album)
''Chroma'' is the debut studio album by the American rock band Cartel. Formed in mid-2003, they self-released an EP the following year. Shortly afterwards founding guitarist Andy Lee left the band and was replaced by Nic Hudson. Following a performance at a music conference in Atlanta, the band signed to The Militia Group. With songs planned out, the band went to record with producers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount. Recording took place at Treesound Studios in Atlanta in May and June 2005. ''Chroma'' released through The Militia Group in September 2005. The album sold 3,000 copies in its first week and charted at number 140 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. ''Chroma'' is the only full-length Cartel album to feature bassist Ryan Roberts, who departed the band in 2006. Background Cartel formed in August 2003 in Atlanta. Copeland (band)
Copeland is an American rock band formed in 2001 by the singer, pianist Aaron Marsh (who also plays guitar) with his friend, the bass guitarist and backing vocalist James Likeness, in Lakeland, Florida. History Inception Aaron Marsh and Bryan Laurenson signed a record deal with the independent label The Militia Group in 2002 and released their first album, ''Beneath Medicine Tree'', a year later. Terminal (American Band)
Terminal was an American rock band from Mansfield, Texas. History Formation and ''How the Lonely Keep'' Formed in 1998 under the name Letter Twelve, the group signed to Tooth & Nail Records in 2004 and changed its name. The band's first, and only, release under this name was entitled ''How the Lonely Keep'', and in 2005 they went on tour with labelmates Anberlin. The record hit No. 39 on the ''Billboard'' Top Christian Albums chart in 2005. Matthew Tsai of Absolute Punk called the record "one of the great emo releases of the 00's". Melodic.net compared the group to Anberlin, Jimmy Eat World and Third Eye Blind. Shortly after the release of the album, all of the band's members except for lead singer Travis Bryant departed the group during their tour with The Spill Canvas and Rufio; Bryant toured with Terminal as a solo act for the remainder of the tour. The Working Title
The Working Title was formed in 2001 and released their first E.P. ''Everyone Here Is Wrong'' in 2003. The EP was rated 5 out of 5 in Alternative Press Magazine, which also labeled The Working Title "A Band To Watch". The band's next LP, About Face, was released July 18, 2006. On October 6, 2005, The Working Title began "The Music Is Much Too Loud Tour" with Circa Survive, Mae, and Mutemath as an opening act. The band has also been on tour with bands such as mewithoutYou, Copeland, Vedera, As Tall as Lions, Counting Crows, Our Lady Peace and the Goo Goo Dolls. Oceanlane was a Japanese rock music, rock band from Tokyo. The band formed in 2001 by two longtime friends, Hajime Takei and Kay Naoe, who began playing shows with hired drums and bass players in the Tokyo area in 2002. Panic! at the Disco is the solo project of American musician Brendon Urie. The Receiving End of Sirens was an American rock band from Belchertown, Massachusetts, United States. Formed in 2003, the band broke up in 2008 then briefly reunited in 2010. On February 18, 2020, the band announced a brief reunion tour. Vellum is prepared animal skin or membrane, typically used as writing material. Parchment is another term for this material, from which vellum is sometimes distinguished, when it is made from calfskin, as opposed to that made from other animals, or otherwise being of higher quality.
