Christopher Wade (born September 30, 1987) is an American professional mixed martial artist. Wade currently competes in the Featherweight division of the Professional Fighters League (PFL). A professional competitor since 2011, Wade has also competed in the UFC. Background Wade was born on September 30, 1987, in Rockville Centre, New York. A talented wrestler, Wade attended Islip High School, where he was a state champion (140 lbs.) as well as a two-time Suffolk County finalist and a Suffolk County Champion. Wade continued his career at the collegiate level where he was a NJCAA National finalist for Nassau Community College and had an NCAA Division III fifth-place finish for SUNY Oneonta. Wade also competed in amateur kickboxing, where was undefeated and held a title. Mixed martial arts career Early career Wade had an amateur MMA record of 2-0 before turning professional in 2011. Christopher Wade is a retired real estate broker/owner of Ozarks Realty Company in Flippin, Arkansas. He was the real estate agent associated to the Clinton's Whitewater controversy in Arkansas. Career Wade was a real estate broker/owner of Ozarks Realty Company in Flippin, Arkansas. In 1974, Wade was Realtor of the Year in Arkansas. Christopher M. Wade FLS is an evolutionary biologist and parasitologist at the University of Nottingham. Wade is an elected Fellow of the Linnean Society and is currently a visiting professor at Chulalongkorn University (2010–Present). Education Wade undertook his undergraduate studies at the University of Wales and joined the University of Edinburgh for his graduate studies, earning his PhD in 1997 for his research on the evolution of HIV. Career and research Wade began his career as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Nottingham in 1996, and subsequently was a research fellow at The Natural History Museum, London in 1999. Chris Wade is an English born writer, musician and filmmaker. He has recorded some thirty albums as founder member of the acid-folk music project Dodson and Fogg, which has featured guest performers including Toyah Willcox, Nik Turner, Judy Dyble and Nigel Planer. Dodson and Fogg and received positive reviews. He also writes fiction and non fiction books. He worked with Rik Mayall on his ''Cutey and the Sofaguard'' audiobook, which Mayall narrated, and runs ''Scenes Magazine'', a cult and classic film publication.
