Christopher Shale
Christopher Michael Henry Shale (23 August 1954 – 25 June 2011) was a British businessman and Conservative politician. He was chairman of the West Oxfordshire Conservative Association, and a close associate of Prime Minister and local MP David Cameron, who praised him for his "massive contribution to the Conservative Party, both locally and nationally". Early life Shale was educated at Great Houghton Preparatory School and Oakham School in Rutland, he was then commissioned as a British Army officer in the 17th/21st Lancers. Career After leaving the army he joined Durdon Smith Communications and then became the chief executive of SGL Communications. In 1990 he then became the founder and managing director of Oxford Resources, a business supply consultancy. Shale was also a director of the Centre for Policy Studies between 2001 and 2005 and a sponsor of the eurosceptic thinktank Open Europe. Northampton
Northampton () is a market town and civil parish in the East Midlands of England, on the River Nene, north-west of London and south-east of Birmingham. Chipping Norton
Chipping Norton is a market town and civil parish in the Cotswold Hills in the West Oxfordshire district of Oxfordshire, England, about south-west of Banbury and north-west of Oxford. The 2011 Census recorded the civil parish population as 5,719. It was estimated at 6,254 in 2019. History Pre-1800 The Rollright Stones, a stone circle north of Chipping Norton, reflect prehistoric habitation in the area. The town name means "market north town", with "Chipping" (from Old English ''cēping'') meaning "market". Chipping Norton began as a small settlement beneath a hill, where the earthworks of the motte-and-bailey Chipping Norton Castle can still be seen. There have been many toilet-related injuries and deaths throughout history and in urban legends. Accidental injuries Infants and toddlers have fallen into toilet bowls and drowned. Safety devices exist to help prevent such accidents. Injuries to adults include bruised buttocks, tail bones, and dislocated hips from unexpectedly sitting on the toilet bowl rim because the seat is up or loose. The 2011 Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts was held from 22–26 June 2011. Tickets for the festival went on sale from 9 am on Sunday 3 October 2010, over 37 weeks before the festival was set to begin, with a deposit of £50 being paid, while the whole cost of a ticket is £195 (+£5 booking fee and postage and packaging). Alessandro Mapelli-Mozzi (born 7 May 1951) is a British-Italian alpine skier. He competed in three events at the 1972 Winter Olympics. He holds both British and Italian citizenship.
