Christopher Lamoriello
Christopher Lamoriello (born 1972) is an American former college ice hockey player. Since 1996, he has been involved with National Hockey League teams as an scout and executive. Career Lamoriello played college hockey at Providence College where he graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. In 1996, he joined the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League (NHL) as a scout, working with his father Lou Lamoriello. In September 2001, Lamoriello took over the dual role of senior vice president of hockey operations for the Devils and general manager for their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Albany Devils. He and his father left the Devils' organization in 2015. In 2016, he was hired by the New York Islanders as director of player personnel. In 2017, he was also named the general manager of their AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Islanders. Providence Friars Men's Ice Hockey
The Providence Friars men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents Providence College. The Friars are a member of Hockey East. The skating Friars are currently coached by Nate Leaman has been the head coach of the skating Friars since 2011, leading them to a national championship in 2015. They play at the 3,030-seat Schneider Arena in Providence, Rhode Island. Season-by-season results Source: Early years Providence began their ice hockey program in 1927 with a 6–4 win over Springfield. Unfortunately it would be over 25 years before the Friars could get their next win. The inaugural season ended with seven straight losses, utilizing three coaches in total, and due to a lack of available ice the program was shuttered until 1952. Bridgeport Islanders
The Bridgeport Islanders (previously known as the Bridgeport Sound Tigers) are a professional ice hockey team playing in the American Hockey League (AHL). They are the AHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, who own the franchise. The team started in 2001–02 AHL season, 2001–02 season and were purchased by the Islanders in 2004. The team is based in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and play their home games at the Total Mortgage Arena. Victoria Movsessian (born November 6, 1972) is an American ice hockey player. She won a gold medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics. She was the founder of the Massachusetts Spitfires and Rhode Island Sting girls hockey clubs. Movsessian was born in Concord, Massachusetts, but grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts.
