Christopher John Barber
Christopher John Barber (born in 1975 or 1976), and usually known as Chris Barber, is a Canadian trucking company operator, and activist who co-led the Canada convoy protest, Canadian convoy protest. He was arrested on February 17, 2022 and released on bail the next day. He gave evidence at the Emergencies Act#Rouleau inquiry, Public Order Emergency Commission in November 2022, speaking about his power struggles with fellow organizer Pat King (activist), Pat King. Career Christopher John Barber is a truck driver from Swift Current, Saskatchewan who operates his own trucking company, C. B. Trucking Limited. Activism Barber is vaccinated against COVID19, but considers vaccine mandates to be government tyranny. Canada Convoy Protest
A series of protests and blockades in Canada against COVID-19 vaccine mandates and restrictions, called the Freedom Convoy (french: Convoi de la liberté, links=no) by organizers, began in early 2022. The initial convoy movement was created to protest vaccine mandates for crossing the United States border, but later evolved into a protest about COVID-19 mandates in general. Beginning January 22, hundreds of vehicles formed convoys from several points and traversed Canadian provinces before converging on Ottawa on January 29, 2022, with a rally at Parliament Hill.
