Christopher Dorst
Christopher Dorst (born June 5, 1956) is an American former water polo player who won a silver medal for the United States at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. He was slated to go with the US Olympic Team to the 1980 Summer Olympics where they were the favorites for winning the gold medal, but the team ended up not competing because of the US boycott of the Olympics that year. He is a graduate of Stanford University and Menlo-Atherton High School and is a member of the Stanford Athletic Hall of Fame and the USA Water Polo Hall of Fame. He is married to former Stanford swimmer Marybeth Linzmeier. Kim Peyton-McDonald
Kim Marie Peyton (January 26, 1957 – December 13, 1986), also known by her married name Kim McDonald, was an American swimmer and Olympic gold medalist at the 1976 Summer Olympics. She was inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1989, three years after her death at age 29 from a brain tumor. Youth and high school Peyton set three national swimming records when she was only 9 and 10 years old. She swam for the David Douglas High School Swim Club in Portland, Oregon, where she held numerous Oregon Class 4A swim records including 200-yard medley relay (1974, 1975, 1976); 200-yard freestyle (1972, 1974, 1975); 50-yard freestyle (1971); 100-yard freestyle (1972, 1974); 500-yard freestyle (1975); 200-yard freestyle relay (1971, 1972); 400-yard freestyle relay (1974, 1975); 400-yard freestyle (1971). ''The Orange County Register'' is a paid daily newspaper published in California. The ''Register'', published in Orange County, California, is owned by the private equity firm Alden Global Capital via its Digital Fiest/Media News subsidiaries. Marybeth Linzmeier
Marybeth Linzmeier Dorst (born July 24, 1963), née Marybeth Linzmeier, is an American former competition swimmer who represented the United States at the Pan American Games and World University Games in the early 1980s. Early life Linzmeier was a star swimmer at Mission Viejo High School in Mission Viejo, California and qualified for the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow in several swimming events. Due to the United States-led boycott of the Moscow Olympics in protest of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, however, she did not participate in the Olympics. Collegiate career Linzmeier attended Stanford University, where she won eight individual NCAA titles competing for the Stanford Cardinal swimming and diving team. She was later named to the Stanford Athletic Hall of Fame. Linzmeier missed qualifying for the 1984 U.S. Olympics team by three one-hundredths (0.03) of a second.
