Christopher Del Bosco
Christopher Del Bosco (born March 30, 1982), is an American-born, Canadian freestyle skier who currently resides in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Del Bosco is a member of the Canadian national ski cross team. He is the reigning FIS World Champion and X Games champion in ski cross and has four other medals from the X Games including one gold, one silver, and two bronze. Del Bosco was a United States national champion prior to switching to the Canadian team. Career Del Bosco was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado but was raised in Vail, Colorado. Prior to joining the Canadian freestyle ski team, he had problems with substance and alcohol abuse that had led to him being stripped of two US national titles, and at age 21 was discovered drunk in a ditch with a broken neck. His sister, Heather, convinced him to go into rehab. This saved him from going to jail for another year. Ski cross is a skiing competition which incorporates terrain features traditionally found in freestyle skiing with courses which include big-air jumps and high-banked turns. In spite of the fact that it is a timed racing event, it is often considered a type of freestyle skiing. What sets ski cross apart from other alpine skiing disciplines is that it involves more than one skier racing down the course. Any intentional contact with other competitors like grabbing or any other forms of contact meant to give the competitor an advantage leads to disqualification. Ski cross is a part of the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships, the world championship organized by the FIS for freestyle skiing. Brady Leman
Brady Leman (born October 16, 1986) is a Canadian freestyle skier specializing in ski cross, and the reigning Olympic champion in that discipline following his victory in the ski cross event at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Career He won the opening event in the 2011–12 season after returning from multiple injuries and then finished the year as the second overall ranked male ski cross racer for the year. Leman, a former alpine skier, is noted for his smooth gliding and crisp passing skills. He was part of a Canadian sweep of the medals at the 2010 Winter X Games, where he finished in third place. Brady Leman skis for Elan as well as the Lake Louise Ski Resort. He also won the 2016 X Games Skier X event. David Duncan (ski Cross)
Dave Duncan (born July 15, 1982 in London, Ontario) is a World Cup freestyle skier. Duncan is currently a member of the Canadian National Ski Cross Team. Career Duncan had a successful and breakout season during the 2009–10 Freestyle Skiing World Cup. Duncan earned his first career World Cup top ten finish, placing 9th at the World Cup in Branaes, Sweden. David Duncan needed to finish 5th or better at the January 24, Lake Placid ski-cross event to qualify for the Olympics. In the final Duncan won bronze thereby qualifying him for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Alongside his bronze at Lake Placid Duncan also won a bronze medal in St. Johann in Tirol/ Oberndorf, Austria on January 5. Lake Placid is a village in the Adirondack Mountains in Essex County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 2,303.
