Christopher Allen (cricketer)
Christopher Wynyard Allen (7 May 1944 – 18 October 2012) was an English first-class cricketer. Allen was a right-handed batsman who bowled slow left-arm orthodox. He was born at Southampton, Hampshire. Allen moved to Lymington, Hampshire in 1964, when his parents took over The Mayflower pub in the town. Shortly after moving there, he began playing for Lymington Cricket Club, where he was initially encouraged to be a seam bowler. While bowling slow left-arm orthodox in the nets at the County Ground, Southampton, he was spotted by Arthur Holt who encouraged him to stick with that bowling style. Having impressed in club cricket for Lymington, Allen briefly played for the Hampshire Second XI, before being selected to play minor counties cricket for Dorset, making his debut for the county in the 1976 Minor Counties Championship against Cornwall. From 1976 to 1983, Allen played a total of 66 Minor Counties Championship matches, the last of which came against Shropshire. ... Christopher Allen (American Football)
Christopher Allen (born August 12, 1998) is an American football outside linebacker for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Alabama. Early life and high school Allen grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and attended Southern University Laboratory School. As a senior, he was named the Class 1A Defensive MVP after recording 82 tackles with 14 tackles for loss and six sacks. Allen committed to play college football at Alabama after considering offers from Arkansas, Auburn, and LSU. College career Allen played in seven games as a freshman. Allen suffered a season ending injury in preseason training camp going into his sophomore year and was granted a medical redshirt. He returned the next year and played in all 13 of Alabama's games. Chris Cross (born Christopher Thomas Allen, 14 July 1952, Tottenham, London) is an English musician, best known as the bass guitarist in the new wave band Ultravox. Biography Early years Cross went to Belmont Secondary Modern School, William Forster Comprehensive. He began his music career playing in different bands, in Tottenham, North London, with his major early influences being Small Faces, Desmond Dekker, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. Later he joined Stoned Rose, in Preston, Lancashire, alongside Pete Hughes and Mick Carroll, who later went to form Ritzi, but also decided to go to college to study psychology, a longstanding interest. Neon Trees is an American rock band from Provo, Utah. The band received nationwide exposure in late 2008 when they opened several North American tour dates for the band The Killers. Not long after, the band was signed by Mercury Records. Their first single, "Animal", climbed to No. 13 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Alternative Songs chart.
