Christophe Grondin
Christophe Grondin (born 2 September 1983) is a French footballer who plays as a midfielder. Biography Grondin was born in the French city of Toulouse, of Malagasy and Réunion descent. The defensive midfielder was a youth player at French side Toulouse. In 2000, he joined the English club Birmingham City. He remained there for 3 years and moved to the Belgian Second Division side K.S.K. Ronse. Grondin helped keep Ronse in the Second Division with a goal in the last match. He moved back to Toulouse in 2004. During the winter of the 2004-2005 season, he was loaned to the Belgian side Cercle Brugge. They signed Grondin at the end of the season. He is contracted until mid 2008. Grondin wanted to be able to be a regular player and quickly became a key member of Cercle Brugge's side. Jean Thissen (born 21 April 1946) is a retired Belgian international footballer. At the club level, he played for Standard Liège and Anderlecht. 2009–10 Belgian Cup
The 2009–10 Belgian Cup (also known as ''Cofidis Cup'' because of sponsoring purposes) was the 55th season of the main knockout football competition in Belgium. It commenced on 25 July 2009 with the first matches of Round 1 and concluded with the Final on 15 May 2010. Genk were the defending champions. The competition was won by Gent. Competition format The competition consists of ten rounds. The first seven rounds are held as single-match elimination rounds. If the match remains tied after 90 minutes in the first three rounds, penalties are taken immediately. In rounds four to seven, when tied after 90 minutes first an extra time period of 30 minutes is played followed by penalties if still necessary. The quarter- and semi-finals are played as Two-legged ties, where the team winning both matches on aggregate advances. The final is played as a single match at a neutral venue.
