''Christmas Worship'' is the first Christmas album from Paul Baloche. Integrity Music released the album on October 28, 2013. Baloche released a follow-up to this album, '' Christmas Worship, Vol. 2'' in 2015. Critical reception Awarding the album four stars at ''CCM Magazine'', Grace Aspinwall states, "the heart of this album lies in its gorgeous arrangements." Lins Honeyman, giving the album a seven out of ten for Cross Rhythms, writes, "a varied release that pushes Christmas music forward whilst acknowledging the genre's glorious past." Reviewing the album from AllMusic, Thom Jurek says, "a collection of (mostly) traditional carols and hymns with worship choruses and cadenzas woven in for maximum effect." Paul Joseph Baloche Work ID No. 884337863 ISWC No. T9126089325 ( ; born on June 4, 1962) is an American Christian music artist, worship leader, and singer-songwriter. Baloche was the worship pastor at Community Christian Fellowship in Lindale, Texas for 26 years. He and his wife, Rita left Texas in January 2015, moving to New York City to be nearer to family. Baloche composes on piano and acoustic guitar, favoring guitar when leading worship. His wife, Rita Baloche, is also a Christian songwriter. Baloche is one of the writers for Compassionart, a charity founded by Martin Smith from Delirious?. John Francis Wade
John Francis Wade (1 January 1711 – 16 August 1786) was an English hymnist who is sometimes credited with writing and composing the hymn " Adeste Fideles" (which was translated to "O Come All Ye Faithful" in 1841 by Frederick Oakeley), even though the actual authorship of the hymn remains uncertain. The earliest copies of the hymn all bear his signature. Wade fled to France after the Jacobite rising of 1745 was crushed. As a Catholic layman, he lived with exiled English Catholics in France, where he taught music and worked on church music for private use. Jacobite symbolism Bennett Zon, Head of the Department of Music at Durham University, has noted that Wade's Roman Catholic liturgical books were often decorated with Jacobite floral imagery. He argued that the texts had coded Jacobite meanings.
