Christine Tasin
Christine Tasin (born 24 January 1955) is a French anti-Islam writer, activist and founder of the Republican Resistance. She has been convicted several times for inciting hatred against Muslims. Biography Tasin is an atheist and comes from a politically leftist background, having been a member of the Socialist Party (PS) and the Citizen and Republican Movement (MRC). She has been married twice, and has three children from her first marriage. Her attention to Islam was started with the Islamic scarf controversy in 1989. She has collaborated with Riposte Laïque, founded in 2007, and is in a relationship with its founder Pierre Cassen. As a counter-jihad activist, she founded the Republican Resistance in 2010, which organises social gatherings and demonstrations together with Riposte Laïque. 2016 Magnanville Stabbing
On 13 June 2016, a police officer and his partner, a police secretary, were stabbed to death in their home in Magnanville, France, located about west of Paris, by a man convicted in 2013 of associating with a group planning terrorist acts. Amaq News Agency, an online outlet said to be sponsored by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), said that a source had claimed that ISIL was behind the attack, an assertion that was later validated. Prosecutor François Molins said the attacker, Larossi Abballa, appeared to be acting on a recent general order from Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi to "kill miscreants at home with their families" during the month of Ramadan. Counter-jihad, also spelled counterjihad and known as the counter-jihad movement, is a self-titled political current loosely consisting of authors, bloggers, think tanks, street movements and campaign organisations all linked by apocalyptic beliefs that view Islam not as a religion but as a worldview that constitutes an existential threat to Western civilization. Eid Al-Adha
Eid al-Adha () is the second and the larger of the two main holidays celebrated in Islam (the other being Eid al-Fitr). It honours the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) as an act of obedience to Allah's command. Before Ibrahim could sacrifice his son, however, Allah provided him with a lamb which he was supposed to kill in his son's place because of his willingness to sacrifice his own son in the name of God. In commemoration of this intervention, animals are ritually sacrificed. Part of their meat is consumed by the family which offers the animal, while the rest of the meat is distributed to the poor and the needy. Sweets and gifts are given, and extended family members are typically visited and welcomed. The day is also sometimes called the Greater Eid.
