Christine Apolot
Christine Apolot is a Ugandan teacher and politician. She was the local counsel five(LC5) chair for Kumi District. She was elected to that position in June 2016. In 2021 she contested as the women's representative Member of Parliament for Kumi District under the National Resistance Movement party challenging Amoding Monicah. Background and education Apolot was born from Kumi District. She attained a first class degree in Education from Kumi University. She also has a Certificate in Administrative law from the Law Development Centre(LDC). As of March 2021, she is pursuing a post graduate degree in Public administration at Uganda Management Institute(UMI). Kumi District
Kumi District is a district in the Eastern Region of Uganda. The town of Kumi hosts the district headquarters. Location Kumi District is bordered by Katakwi District to the north, Nakapiripirit District to the northeast, Bukedea District to the east, Pallisa District to the south, and Ngora District to the west. Kumi University
Kumi University (KUMU), is a private University in Uganda. Location The main university campus is in "Nyero Parish", Nyero subcounty, Kumi District, in the Eastern Region of Uganda, approximately , by road, west of the town of Kumi. This is about north-east of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city. The coordinates of Kumi University Main Campus are 1°28'21.0"N, 33°51'45.0"E (Latitude:1.472500; Longitude:33.862500). Law Development Centre
The Law Development Centre (LDC) is an educational institution in Uganda for higher learning that offers various legal courses ranging from one month to one year. Overview The LDC is the only institution in Uganda that offers the Bar Course leading to the award of the post-graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. In the early 2000s, the LDC was plagued by a high failure rate among students, as high as 90 percent in some years. The LDC, together with the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs and the Uganda Law Society, have designed changes that include a pre-admission written examination for students, continuing education requirements for LDC lecturers, and instruction in teaching methods for all academic staff. The National Resistance Movement ( sw, Harakati za Upinzani za Kitaifa; abbr. NRM) has been the ruling party in Uganda since 1986.
