Christina Olumeko
Christina Sade Olumeko (born 26 November 1996) is a Danish politician and member of the Folketing, the national legislature. A member of The Alternative party, she has represented Copenhagen since November 2022. Olumeko was born on 26 November 1996. Her mother is French and her father is Nigerian. She has a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Copenhagen (2019). She was a student assistant, analysis consultant and financial consultant at various schools from 2018 to 2022. The Danish local elections of 2021 were held in 2021 for Denmark's 98 municipal councils and five regional councils. Statistics Denmark ( da, Danmarks Statistik) is a Danish governmental organization under the Ministry of the Interior and Housing and which reports to the Minister of Economic and Internal Affairs. The organization is responsible for creating statistics on the Danish society, for example employment statistics, trade balance, and demographics. Statistics Denmark makes large use of public registers in the statistical production. Population censuses have been produced entirely from registers since 1981. 2022 Danish General Election
General elections were held in the Kingdom of Denmark on 1 November 2022, except in the Faroe Islands, where they were held on 31 October as 1 November was a national day of mourning for victims at sea. Of the 179 members of the Folketing, 175 were elected in Denmark proper, two in the Faroes and two in Greenland. The elections were called on 5 October following an ultimatum to the government by the Social Liberal Party (which had been providing external support) due to the outcome of a report on the 2020 Danish mink cull by the Mink Commission, which was critical of the government. Voter turnout was 84% in Denmark, 48% in Greenland, and 71% in the Faroes with a combined turnout of 84% for the Realm as a whole.
