Christiania Township is a township in Jackson County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 331 at the 2000 census. Christiania Township was organized in 1871. Christiana is an old name for Oslo, Norway. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of , of which is land and (2.18%) is water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 331 people, 128 households, and 98 families residing in the township. The population density was 9.3 people per square mile (3.6/km2). There were 190 housing units at an average density of 5.4/sq mi (2.1/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 97.58% White, 1.51% from other races, and 0.91% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.51% of the population.
