Christiane Collange
Christiane Collange (born 1930) is a French journalist and author. Early life Christiane Collange was born as Christiane Servan-Schreiber on October 29, 1930. Her father, Émile Servan-Schreiber, was a Jewish journalist and author. Her mother, Denise Brésard, was Roman Catholic. Her paternal father, Joseph Schreiber, was a Jewish-Prussian immigrant. She has two brothers, Jean-Jacques Servan-Schreiber and Jean-Louis Servan-Schreiber, and two sisters, Brigitte Gros and Bernadette Gradis. The Servan-Schreiber family (up to 200 members) have a family reunion every five years. Collange graduated from Sciences Po. Career Collange is a journalist. She was the editor of ''Madame Express'', a supplement of ''L'Express''. She became the editor-in-chief of ''Le Jardin des Modes'' in 1970. Collange is the author of many books. Vincent Ferniot (born July 14, 1960) is a French actor, television presenter and culinary writer. Early life Vincent Ferniot was born on July 14, 1960, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. His parents, Jean Ferniot and Christiane Collange, are journalists and authors. He is of Jewish-Prussian descent on his maternal side. Ferniot graduated from the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs. Career Ferniot started his career as a singer and guitar player for Les Civils, a rock'n'roll band. He subsequently became an actor, starring in ''Le bunker de la dernière rafale'' and ''Adieu Blaireau'' 1985, followed by ''Agent Trouble'' in 1987. ''Le Jardin des Modes'' was a French language women's fashion magazine published monthly in France between 1922 and 1997. History and profile The magazine was first published in April 1922 as ''L'Illustration des Modes'' and aimed to a cutting edge group of fashion passionates. The founders were Lucien Vogel and his brother-in-law Michel de Brunhoff. It offered a mix of beautiful illustrations, pattern making examples and cooking recipes. In 1923 the magazine was acquired by Condé Nast. From June 1940 until September 1944 during the German occupation the magazine stopped being published. Jean Ferniot (10 October 1918 – 21 July 2012) was a French journalist and novelist. He won the Prix Interallié in 1961. Early life Ferniot was born on 10 October 1918 in Paris, France. He grew up in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. He became an orphan at the age of eight, when his mother died. He was raised as a Roman Catholic, and he considered becoming a priest as a young man. Ferniot was educated at the Lycée Louis-le-Grand in Paris. He briefly served in World War II, and he was subsequently awarded the Croix de Guerre. Career Ferniot was a journalist.
