Christian Revival Crusade
CRC Churches International, formerly known as the Christian Revival Crusade, is a Pentecostal Protestant Christian denomination founded in New Zealand and Australia by Leo Harris in Adelaide, South Australia, with assistance from Thomas Foster in Melbourne, Victoria. History Converted under the itinerant ministry of South African, Frederick Van Eyck, Harris' father became an Apostolic Church pastor before they both assumed ministry within the Assemblies of God. Harris was influenced by the British-Israel views of Thomas Foster, whose identification of Anglo-Saxon nations with the ten lost tribes of Israel prompted him to adopt a historicist eschatology. With the subsequent cancellation of his ministry credential and the increasing post-war popularity of his pro-British views throughout parts of Australia and New Zealand, the National Revival Crusade was launched organisationally in Adelaide in 1945 and was active in Melbourne as well. Murray Bridge (formerly Mobilong and Edwards Crossing) is a city in the Australian state of South Australia, located east-southeast of the state's capital city, Adelaide, and north of the town of Meningie. Barry Chant
Barry Mostyn Chant (born 1938) is an Australian academic, pentecostal pastor and author. His most significant contribution to the Pentecostal movement in Australia was as its primary historian. ''Heart of Fire: The story of Australian Pentecostalism'' was published by the House of Tabor in 1973, a publishing company attached to Tabor College Australia, in Adelaide, which Chant founded and led as principal. Chant's first book was also the first comprehensive history of Australian Pentecostalism based on grey literature and oral histories collected within 60 years of the establishment of the key Pentecostal churches in Australia. His collected sources, are now deposited in the archives of Alphacrucis, a Bible college in Sydney, New South Wales. Ken Chant
Kenneth David Chant (born 6 June 1933) is an Australian Pentecostal pastor with CRC Churches International. He was ordained in 1952 in the CRC. He is the elder brother of Barry Chant, who is the founder (with the Reverend Dennis Slape) and former president of Tabor College, Australia. Chant has planted eight churches and been pastor of several others. For several years he was the editor of two Australian charismatic and Pentecostal journals, ''Revivalist'' and ''Vision''.
