Christian O'Sullivan
Christian O'Sullivan (born 22 August 1991) is a Norwegian handball player, and team captain for both SC Magdeburg and the Norwegian national team. He participated at the 2019 World Men's Handball Championship. Career O'Sullivan began his career in the Norwegian club Bækkelagets SK. In 2014, he moved to the Swedish club Kristianstad, where he won twice the Swedish Championship. In 2016, O'Sullivan moved to German club SC Magdeburg. SC Magdeburg is a handball club from Magdeburg, Germany, and is competing in the Handball-Bundesliga. History During the time in the GDR, the club won 10 national championships (1970, 1977, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1988, 1991) and won the GDR Cup four times. In 1991, SC Magdeburg won the last GDR championship before being promoted to the Handball-Bundesliga. The Handball-Bundesliga (HBL) is the top German professional handball league. From 2007 onwards, the league was sponsored by Toyota and has officially been called the ''Toyota Handball-Bundesliga''. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team.
