Christian Marrero (born July 30, 1986) is an American professional baseball coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball (MLB). Playing career Marrero played in Minor League Baseball for 12 seasons for the Pirates, Chicago White Sox, Atlanta Braves, and Philadelphia Phillies organizations. In baseball, a number of coaches assist in the smooth functioning of a team. They are assistants to the manager, who determines the starting lineup and batting order, decides how to substitute players during the game, and makes strategy decisions.
