Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet, commonly known simply as Sorghvliet, is an independent Protestant gymnasium in The Hague. Bas De Gaay Fortman
Bastiaan "Bas" de Gaay Fortman (born 6 November 1937) is a retired Dutch politician and diplomat of the Political Party of Radicals (PPR) and later the GreenLeft (GL) party and economist. Career before politics After attending public elementary education, he attended the Christian Gymnasium in the Hague, specialising in sciences. After graduating in 1956 he studied law and economics at the Free University of Amsterdam, receiving his Master of Law, and Doctorandus in Economy in 1963 cum laude. In the last four years of his study he taught Civil Law, Commercial Law and Political Economics. Edwin Jongejans
Edwin Jongejans (born 18 December 1966) is a retired diver from the Netherlands. He competed at the 1988 and 1992 Olympic in the springboard event and finished in eights and seventh place, respectively. His sister Daphne competed in the same event at the 1984, 1988 and 1992 Olympics. Between 1989 and 1995 Jongejans won one world and two European titles in the 1 m springboard. In 1991 he was chosen as the Dutch Sportsman of the year. Daphne Cérès Jongejans (born 22 June 1965 in Badhoevedorp, North Holland) is a retired female diver from the Netherlands, who represented her native country at three consecutive Summer Olympics: 1984, 1988 and 1992. Simon van der Meer (24 November 19254 March 2011) was a Dutch Accelerator physics, particle accelerator physicist who shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1984 with Carlo Rubbia for contributions to the CERN project which led to the discovery of the W and Z bosons, W and Z particles, the two fundamental communicators of the weak interaction. Morris Tabaksblat (19 September 1937, in Rotterdam – 20 October 2011, in Wassenaar), was a Dutch captain of industry. He was the CEO of Unilever and chairman of the Tabaksblat committee which drafted the Tabaksblat code.
