The Pat McGee Band is a rock band from Richmond, Virginia. Formed by frontman Pat McGee, who attended Longwood College in Farmville, VA. On the heels of his solo release ''From the Wood'' in 1995, the Pat McGee Band signed with Warner Bros. Records subsidiary Giant Records in 1999. '' Shine'', the band's major-label debut, was released in 2000 with the national singles "Runaway" and "Rebecca". After two years of delays, the band released their second album with Warner, '' Save Me'', in 2004. The band was dropped from the label that year and picked up by Kirtland Records. An enhanced ''Save Me'' is now being distributed through Kirtland with the radio single "Must Have Been Love". Former guitarist and vocalist Al Walsh left the band in an amicable split at the end of 2001. Keyboardist and vocalist Jonathan Bryan Williams left in 2003 but rejoined the band in late 2005. It was produced by former keyboardist Todd Wright and was officially released at their July 6, 2007, concert at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, though it had been available on compact disc and via digital download beginning July 1. ''Vintage Stages Live'' is the title of a live album and concert DVD from the Richmond, Virginia based Pat McGee Band. It is the sixth full-length CD released by the band; it is also their second live release (the first being ''General Admission'') and their second effort under Kirtland Records. The concerts were filmed at the WorkPlay Theater and Studios in Birmingham, Alabama, and The Barns at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Vienna, Virginia. The WorkPlay performance is also the last recorded performance with Chris Williams, who died in October 2006 during the DVD post-production. ''Stages'' was released as a CD/DVD combination. It was first available for pre-order in November 2006 through the Aware Records online store, and achieved wide release in February 2007. ''Drive-By Romance'' is the title of a digital-only EP released by the Richmond, Virginia, based Pat McGee Band. ''Romance'' was released in February 2004 in support of the single "Beautiful Ways" which had been released to radio earlier in the year. The single version of the song is the lead track of the EP, followed by four live tracks performed in Boston during the summer of 2003. Save Me (Pat McGee Band Album)
''Save Me'' is the third studio album recorded by the Richmond, Virginia, based Pat McGee Band. It is a marked departure from the band's previous records as the familiar acoustic guitars and three part harmonies were eschewed in favor of a more raw, electric sound. Four tracks were produced in California with Marti Frederiksen, who had collaborated on their writing. The remainder of the album was laid down in Avatar Studios during late 2003. WBR release The Warner Bros. Records version of ''Save Me'' was released on April 6, 2004. It was at once both praised and criticized by long-term fans of the band"Beautiful Ways" was the lead single from the album and was released to radio in July; it failed to break into the Billboard (magazine), Billboard Hot 100 but climbed as high as #36 on the Billboard adult top 40 chart
