Chris Staples (basketball Player)
Chris Staples is an American indie rock musician originally from Pensacola, Florida, long based in Seattle, Washington. He released ''Panama, Burned and Blistered'', ''Blackest Hair, Bluest Eyes'', ''Badlands'', and ''American Soft'' independently, before catching the attention of Seattle-based Barsuk Records, who re-released ''American Soft'' in 2014. Staples' second album on Barsuk, ''Golden Age'', was released in 2016. His next album, ''Holy Moly'', was released by Barsuk on June 28, 2019. In addition to his solo career, Staples has performed with Telekinesis, Josh Tillman, Rocky Votolato, Jeremy Enigk, and David Bazan. Previously, Staples wrote and released music as "Discover America". Early in his career, he was the vocalist and guitarist of the indie rock band Twothirtyeight. Jeremy Enigk
Jeremy Enigk (; born July 16, 1974) is an American singer-songwriter, vocalist and guitarist / multi-instrumentalist. He is known as a solo artist, a film score composer, and as the lead vocalist, bassist, rhythm guitarist and keyboardist of the Seattle-based bands Sunny Day Real Estate and The Fire Theft. Biography Poor Old Lu, Sunny Day Real Estate, and first solo projects (1993–2000) Enigk was born in Seattle, Washington, to Gary E. Enigk and Sherry Hammond Enigk. AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Initiated in 1991, the database was first made available on the Internet in 1994. AllMusic is owned by RhythmOne. David Bazan
David Bazan (; born January 22, 1976) is an American indie rock singer-songwriter from Phoenix, Arizona who now resides in Seattle, Washington. Bazan is the lead singer and creative force behind the band Pedro the Lion and was the lead singer of Headphones. In early 2006, he began performing and recording under his own name. In late 2017 he returned to playing under the Pedro the Lion name. Career In the early 90s he played drums in the band The Guilty (later named Coolidge) with fellow songwriter Damien Jurado. Rocky Votolato (born March 8, 1977 in Dallas, Texas, United States), is an American singer-songwriter. Biography He was raised in Frost, Texas, roughly 50 miles south of Dallas, until the age of 13. After his parents were divorced, his mother remarried and moved the family to the Pacific Northwest in 1991, where he attended Inglemoor High School in Kenmore, Washington. Alienated by his southern roots, the isolation led him to focus all of his attention on learning to play guitar and writing songs. Inspired by seeing many punk shows including bands like Jawbreaker and Fugazi, he started several different musical projects while in high school. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s.
