Chris Schmidt (born 20 March 1989) is an Australian rules footballer. He formerly played in the AFL, for the and . He now plays for SANFL club West Adelaide, the club he was originally drafted from. Schmidt holds the SANFL record for lowest goals to games ratio. Brisbane Lions career He was drafted by with the 34th selection in the 2006 AFL Draft from West Adelaide in the SANFL. Debuting for Brisbane in Round 10, 2007 as an 18-year-old against , Schmidt struggled with just 1 kick and 5 handballs. The match ended in a draw. Schmidt played only one more game for the club, the following round against the , and only managed 3 disposals. His Lions career was riddled with injuries, including osteitis pubis and a persistent shoulder problem. Schmidt played most of his footy with the Suncoast Lions during this period. 2013 Foxtel Cup
The 2013 Foxtel Cup was the third season of the Australian rules football knock-out cup competition involving clubs from the various state league competitions from around Australia. The Cup's purpose is to support and promote the second-tier Australian rules football competitions and to provide another way of developing lower-tier Australian Football League (AFL) players. All matches, as in previous years, were broadcast by Fox Footy. Ian Borchard
Ian Alfred Borchard (born 5 August 1957) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1970s. He also played for West Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Playing career VFL Borchard, originally from Swan Hill in Victoria, spent three seasons at Richmond. In the last of those years, 1978, Borchard was cleared to play for South Fremantle in the Western Australian Football League (WAFL) midway through the season, but only lasted one week before he returned to Richmond on 29 June. SANFL He joined West Adelaide in 1979 and the following season won the first of his two Best & Fairest awards, the other coming in 1982. Neil Kerley
Donald Neil Kerley (20 February 1934 – 29 June 2022) was an Australian rules footballer and coach. He is best known for taking three clubs to four South Australian National Football League (SANFL) premierships over three decades as both a player and coach, and for playing 32 state games for South Australia. Playing career Kerley, who started his senior footballing career with Barmera in the Riverland Football League in 1948 at the age of 14, played mostly in the SANFL between 1952 and 1969. A Norwood supporter as a young boy growing up on a fruit block in Barmera in South Australia's Riverland, Kerley left home less than a year later and headed north on his motorbike for two years, working as a Jackeroo on cattle stations. Bruce McGregor
Harry Bruce McGregor (7 January 1903 in Broken Hill, New South Wales – 21 March 1990) was an Australian rules footballer who played with West Adelaide and South Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). His son Ken also played for West Adelaide and was a successful tennis player. Former Crows player, Ken McGregor is not related. Career McGregor made his debut at the age of 16 for West Broken Hill in the Broken Hill Football League where he was a Hurley Medallist in 1922. McGregor was recruited by West Adelaide in 1923 after attempts were made for his signature by both Norwood and Port Adelaide.
