Chris Reynolds (16 July 1960 – 4 May 2023) was a Welsh comics author who created and produced his Mauretania Comics, ''Mauretania'' comics from the mid-1980s, including a homonymous full-length graphic novel published by Penguin Books in 1990. In 2005, Canadian author Seth (cartoonist), Seth considered him "the most underrated cartoonist of the last 20 years". An anthology of his works was published to critical acclaim by New York Review Books in 2018. Reynolds died on 4 May 2023, at the age of 62. Eulogies (band)
Eulogies was an American rock band based in Los Angeles, California. The final lineup consisted of Peter Walker on guitar and vocals, Drew Phillips on guitar, Chris Reynolds on drums, and Ashley Dzerigian on bass. Former Eulogies bass player Tim Hutton and Chris Reynolds originally began playing with Peter Walker under the aegis of his solo work. After touring the US extensively in 2006, the trio was reborn under the name Eulogies. Drew Phillips joined the band in 2008, while Garrett Deloian joined the band in January 2009 (replacing bassist Tim Hutton, who left Eulogies shortly after recording resumed for their second album). They are signed to Los Angeles indie label Dangerbird Records, through which they released their self-titled debut album on September 11, 2007. Red Flag (band)
Red Flag is a synthpop act founded in 1984 in San Diego by brothers Chris and Mark Reynolds. After the death of Mark in 2003, Chris has continued as a solo act since 2007 under the name Red Flag. History Hailing from Liverpool, England, and after growing up there, the brothers moved to locations such as Montreal and Seattle, following their father's itinerant job. In 1979, the family settled in California, arriving first in Los Angeles. The brothers first started playing electronic music in 1982, when Mark Reynolds bought a Roland Juno-60 synthesizer over a guitar on a trip to a music store. The first song they recorded, "Distant Memories", under the name Shades of May, was discovered and selected for a compilation album by San Diego radio station 91X in 1984, prompting them to move to San Diego. This Is Hell is an American hardcore punk band from Long Island, New York. The band is known for extensive touring and high energy concerts. They have released five studio albums and five EPs. History Early days and formation (2004) This Is Hell formed in June 2004 when Long Island musicians and members of The Backup Plan, Scraps and Heart Attacks, and Subterfuge got together after their previous bands broke up. The name of the band was originally the title of an Elvis Costello song. The band quickly released a four-song self titled demo EP which was later pressed onto vinyl via Boston label Run for Cover Records and in Europe via Broken Glasses Records. Stray Kids (; often abbreviated as SKZ) is a South Korean boy band formed by JYP Entertainment through the 2017 reality show of the same name.
