Chris Pearce (politician)
Christopher John Pearce (born 1 March 1963) is an Australian business executive and former politician. He was a member of the House of Representatives from 2001 to 2010, representing seat of Aston for the Liberal Party. He served as a parliamentary secretary in the Howard government from 2004 to 2007. Outside of his political career he has worked as a senior executive in the IT and telecommunications industries. Early life Pearce was born on 1 March 1963 in Lismore, New South Wales. He holds the degree of Bachelor of Business from Monash University, and later completed an MBA at Deakin University and a graduate certificate at the University of Divinity. Prior to entering parliament, Pearce worked as a manager in the information technology and telecommunications industry. Christopher Leslie Pearce (born 7 August 1961) is a Welsh former footballer. A goalkeeper, he made 304 league appearances in a 14-year career in the Football League. A former Wolverhampton Wanderers apprentice, he turned professional at Blackburn Rovers in 1979. He was loaned out to Rochdale and Barnsley, before he was allowed to sign with Rochdale permanently in 1982. He moved on to Port Vale in June 1983, and helped the "Valiants" to win promotion out of the Fourth Division in 1985ā€“86. He joined Wrexham in May 1986, before he was bought by Burnley for Ā£4,000 in July 1987. He won a Football League Trophy runners-up medal with the "Clarets" in 1988, and helped the club to win the Fourth Division title in 1991ā€“92. He later played for Bradford City, before spending time with non-league clubs Chorley, Fleetwood, Accrington Stanley, and Rossendale United. Chris Pierce is an American singer, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, public speaker, wine producer and officiant born and based in California. Early life Pierce is from Pasadena, California. He grew up singing in church and playing in bands from an early age and listened to classic soul, rhythm and blues, jazz, gospel and rock and roll recordings. When he was 15 he was diagnosed with otosclerosis which caused him to lose significant hearing. A surgery helped him regain 70% of his hearing in his right year. In his teenage years, he pursued acting and singing in local theater presentations and appeared on notable television shows such as ''Kids Incorporated'', ''Big Break'' hosted by Natalie Cole, ''Star Search'' and ''Half and Half''.
