Chris Millar
Christopher Alexander Millar (born 30 March 1983) is a Scottish professional football player and coach who currently plays for Troon. Millar was in the Celtic youth system, then started his professional career with Greenock Morton. He then played for St Johnstone for ten seasons, helping them win the Scottish Cup in 2014. Millar returned to Morton in 2018. Career Millar was born in Glasgow. After being released by Celtic in February 2003, Millar signed for then Scottish Football League Third Division side Greenock Morton. Morton Millar made his Morton debut away at Montrose on 25 February 2003. He was a member of Morton's 2002–03 Scottish Third Division championship-winning team that season. On 21 December 2007, it was announced that Millar had signed a pre-contract agreement with St Johnstone. He officially signed with the club on 1 May 2008. Scottish Football League Second Division
The Scottish Football League Second Division was the third tier of the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The Second Division was created in 1975, as part of a wider reconstruction of the Scottish Football League (SFL). Prior to 1975, the SFL had been split into two divisions (Division One and Division Two). The effect of the reconstruction was to split these two divisions into three, with the top flight named the Premier Division, second tier the First Division, and a new third tier was created known as the Second Division. A fourth tier, known as the Third Division, was created in 1994. In 1998, the Premier Division clubs broke away from the SFL to form the Scottish Premier League (SPL). The Scottish League Cup (also known as the Viaplay Cup for sponsorship reasons) is a football competition open to all Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) clubs. First held in 1946–47, it is the oldest national League Cup in existence. The competition had a straight knockout format but became a group and knockout competition from 2016–17. Rangers are the record holders of the cup, winning 27 times. Celtic are the holders, winning their 20th title after beating Hibernian 2–1 at Hampden Park on 19 December 2021. Ian Holland McCall (born 30 September 1964) is a Scottish former football player and coach. During his playing days McCall played for Queen's Park, Dunfermline Athletic, Rangers, Bradford City, Dundee, Falkirk, Hamilton Academical, Happy Valley, Partick Thistle and Clydebank. He then began an extensive managerial career, mostly in the lower leagues of Scotland starting with Clydebank, Greenock Morton, Airdrieonians, Falkirk, Dundee United, Queen of the South, Partick Thistle and Ayr United. Playing career Ian McCall was born in Dumfries, Scotland. In his boyhood, he was a regular on the Palmerston terraces watching Queen of the South. Brian Stuart McLean (born 28 February 1985) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for Clyde. He began his career in Scotland as a youth and reserve player with Rangers before joining Motherwell in 2005, initially on loan. He then joined Falkirk in 2009 before joining Preston North End in England two years later. Mark Millar (born 23 February 1988) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Kilwinning Rangers. Millar started his career with Scottish Premier League club Celtic, spending a six-month spell on loan at Újpest in Hungary. Millar then moved to Scottish First Division club Falkirk. In June 2012 Millar signed a three-year deal with Dundee United. Millar returned to Falkirk on loan for the majority of the 2013–14 season before being released from his contract at Tannadice in May 2014. The West of Scotland Football League (WoSFL) is a senior football league based in the west of Scotland. The league sits at levels 6–10 on the Scottish football league system, acting as a feeder to the Lowland Football League. Founded in 2020, it is currently composed of 79 member clubs competing in five divisions.
