Chris Lawn
Chris Lawn is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Tyrone county team. He was on the substitutes bench for the entirety of the 2003 final, and came on as a substitute in the 2005 final, for the injured Joe McMahon. He has All-Ireland medals from 2003 and 2005. He was nominated for an All-Star award in 1995, but did not win. He also, until this day, has been a long serving stalwart of the Moortown team, including a brief stint as manager. After championship success in 2005, he, along with Peter Canavan Peter Canavan (born 9 April 1971) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer, manager and pundit. Gaelic Football
Gaelic football ( ga, Peil Ghaelach; short name '), commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA or Football is an Irish team sport. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or punching the ball into the other team's goals (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goals and over a crossbar above the ground (1 point). Players advance the football up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing (dropping the ball and then toe-kicking the ball upward into the hands). In the game, two types of scores are possible: points and goals. A point is awarded for kicking or hand-passing the ball over the crossbar , signalled by the umpire raising a white flag. Joe McMahon
Joe McMahon is an Irish Gaelic footballer who played for the Omagh St Enda's club and for the Tyrone county team. His younger brother, Justin was the captain of the Tyrone under-21 team that won the 2006 Ulster Championship. Playing career Joe McMahon was part of the Omagh CBS MacRory Cup team that shared the title in 2001 (the scheduled replay was abandoned, due to restrictions of crowd gatherings amid a foot-and-mouth disease outbreak), and reached the final in 2002. A two-time All-Ireland-winner, McMahon started the 2005 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final, but had to be replaced because of injury, making him the first Omagh man to win an All-Ireland. Peter Canavan
Peter Canavan (born 9 April 1971) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer, manager and pundit. He played inter-county football for Tyrone, and is one of the most decorated players in the game's history, winning two All-Ireland Senior Football Championship medals, six All Stars Awards (more than any other Ulster player, and joint third overall), four provincial titles, and two National Leagues and several under-age and club championship medals. He represented Ireland in the International Rules Series on several occasions from 1998 until 2000.
