Chris Lambert (sprinter)
Christopher Patrick Lambert (born 6 April 1981 in Dulwich, London) is a former professional sprinter from England. He grew up on Southampton Way Estate in Peckham, London, attending to school at Oliver Goldsmith's Primary School in Camberwell and Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham College, before attending Harvard University, where he was a member of The Phoenix – S K Club. As a junior athlete in 1999, Lambert finished 3rd at the European Junior Championships and ran the fastest time in the world over 200m for an U20 athlete. Named captain of the Great British Junior team in 2000, he was unable to compete for the majority of the season due to a hamstring injury but left the age group ranked 3rd on the national all-time list. At Harvard, Lambert broke 5 college and 3 Ivy League records (for the 60m, 100m and 200m), winning 6 Ivy League titles and finishing 4th in the 2003 NCAA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship, becoming an NCAA All-American. Christopher Raymond Lambert (born March 8, 1983) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles. High school and college Although born in California, Lambert moved to Manchester, New Hampshire, where he attended Manchester Memorial High School. Lambert initially planned to attend Holderness School, but while playing American Legion baseball the summer out of high school his 90–95 mph fastball attracted attention from college recruiters. With offers from Florida State University, Clemson, LSU and Boston College, Lambert opted for Boston College, praising its "great academic reputation", "very good baseball program" and its closeness to Manchester. Circuit Zandvoort (), known for sponsorship reasons as CM.com Circuit Zandvoort, and previously known as Circuit Park Zandvoort until 2017, is a motorsport race track located in the dunes north of Zandvoort, the Netherlands, near the North Sea coast line. It returned to the Formula One calendar in 2021 as the location of the revived Dutch Grand Prix. History 1930s to mid 1980s There were plans for races at Zandvoort before World War II: the first street race was held on 3 June 1939. However, a permanent race track was not constructed until after the war, using communications roads built by the occupying German army. Contrary to popular belief John Hugenholtz cannot be credited with the design of the Zandvoort track, although he was involved as the chairman of the Nederlandse Automobiel Ren Club (Dutch Auto Racing Club) before becoming the first track director in 1949. Chris Lambert (born March 28, 1988) is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and podcaster. In 2019, Lambert launched a true-crime podcast documentary series about the murder of Kristin Smart, which led to arrests and ultimately a conviction in the 25-year-old case.
