William Frank Jones (August 18, 1941 – January 31, 2014), better known as Christopher Jones, was an American stage, movie, and television actor. Early life He was born in Jackson, Tennessee, where his father was a grocery clerk and his mother, Robbie, was an artist. Jones's father and aunt admitted her to the state hospital in Bolivar, Tennessee, in 1945. Jones and his brother were then placed in Boys Town in Memphis, where he became a fan of James Dean after being told he bore a resemblance to him. He then joined the Army, but went AWOL, and after serving a sentence in a military prison, he moved to New York City, where he began his acting career. His mother died when he was 19. Acting career Jones (having adopted the stage name Christopher) made his Broadway debut on December 17, 1961, in Tennessee Williams's ''The Night of the Iguana'', directed by Frank Corsaro and starring Shelley Winters. Christopher Jones (born 28 September 1973) is a former English cricketer. Jones was a right-handed batsman who bowled slow left-arm orthodox. He was born at Stamford, Lincolnshire. Jones made his debut in county cricket for his home county of Lincolnshire, where he played a single match for them in the 1998 Minor Counties Championship against Bedfordshire at London Road, Sleaford. In 1999, he joined Cambridgeshire, making his Minor Counties Championship debut for the county against Norfolk. Chris Jones (born September 25, 1967) is the head coach and general manager of the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was previously the head coach and general manager of the Saskatchewan Roughriders for three seasons, after serving as the head coach of the Edmonton Eskimos for two seasons. Christopher Jones (born July 17, 1982) is a former American football wide receiver. He was originally an undrafted free agent signed by the Minnesota Vikings after the 2005 NFL Draft. He was on the Seahawks' roster in 2006, but did not see any playing time. He was released by the Seahawks on August 28, 2007.
