Chris Gaffaney
Christopher Blair Gaffaney (born 30 November 1975) is a former New Zealand cricketer who played for the Otago Volts. A right-handed batsman, he played in 83 First-Class matches and 113 List-A matches. At present he serves as an international cricket umpire. Gaffaney is currently a member of the ICC Elite umpire panel and officiates in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. Umpiring career Gaffaney made his ODI umpiring debut in a match played between Canada and Ireland at Toronto in September 2010. He served as an umpire on the ICC International Panel of Umpires and later stood in his first Test match in a game between Zimbabwe and South Africa at Harare in August 2014. Gaffaney was thereafter selected as one of the twenty umpires to stand in matches during the 2015 Cricket World Cup and stood in three matches as an on-field umpire during the tournament. This is a list of cricket umpires who have officiated at least one men's One Day International (ODI) match. As of October 2022, 418 umpires have officiated in an ODI match. The first ODI match took place on 5 January 1971 between Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The umpires for this game were Tom Brooks and Lou Rowan. The 2020 Indian Premier League, also known as IPL 13 and branded as Dream11 Indian Premier League 2020, was the thirteenth season of the IPL, a professional Twenty20 cricket (T20) league established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2008. The 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup was the 12th Cricket World Cup, a quadrennial One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament contested by men's national teams and organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was hosted between 30 May and 14 July across 10 venues in England and a single venue in Wales with the tournament being the fifth time that England had hosted the World Cup while for Wales it was their third. The 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup was the 11th Cricket World Cup, a quadrennial One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament contested by men's national teams and organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
