Chris Driscoll
Chris Driscoll (born September 12, 1971) is a Canadian retired lacrosse player. Professional career Born in Fergus, Ontario, Driscoll began his career with the Detroit Turbos in 1993. He played with the Turbos for two seasons before they disbanded, and was claimed by Rochester in the resulting dispersal draft. Driscoll played four seasons in Rochester and during the 1999 season, he was traded to the Buffalo Bandits. Driscoll played the rest of that season plus two more in Buffalo, before being traded to the New York Saints in a seven-player deal. Driscoll played parts of two seasons with the Saints before being traded yet again, this time to the Toronto Rock for defenseman Scott Stapleford and three draft picks. Driscoll was given the National Lacrosse League Sportsmanship Award in 2003, and won an NLL championship with the Rock in 2005. Rochester Knighthawks
The Rochester Knighthawks (also known as the K-Hawks) are a professional box lacrosse team in the North Division of the National Lacrosse League. They play in Rochester, New York at the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial. The Knighthawks are owned by Pegula Sports and Entertainment who purchased the intellectual property of the team from former owner Curt Styres who moved the previous version of the team to Halifax, Nova Scotia as the Halifax Thunderbirds at the end of the 2018–2019 season. As an expansion team they are not a continuation of the previous Knighthawks. All records and championships followed the original franchise to Halifax. History The original Knighthawks played in Rochester from 1995 until 2019. Peter Lough
Peter Lough (born January 4, 1975 in Toronto, Ontario) is a former lacrosse player in the National Lacrosse League. In his eight-year NLL career, Lough played for the Montreal Express, Columbus Landsharks, Arizona Sting, and Toronto Rock. Professional career Lough was originally drafted in the National Lacrosse League by the now defunct Ontario Raiders, though he did not play for them. For the 2002 season he was signed by the Montreal Express as a free agent. The Express folded prior to the 2003 Season, and in the resulting dispersal draft, Lough was acquired by the Columbus Landsharks (later the Arizona Sting) in the 1st round (3rd overall). In 2004, Lough was co-winner of the NLL Sportsmanship award, and has made All-Star Game appearances in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Colin "Popeye" Doyle (born September 8, 1977) is a Canadian former professional lacrosse player and captain for the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League and the Six Nations Chiefs of Major Series Lacrosse. National Lacrosse League (NLL) career Doyle was born in Kitchener, Ontario. He began his NLL career in 1998, playing for Ontario Raiders. He scored 34 goals and 27 assists, leading the Raiders in scoring. He was named NLL Rookie of the Year. In 1999, the Raiders moved to Toronto, becoming the Toronto Rock, where they won their first of 6 NLL Championships.
