Chris Clemons (safety)
Christian Donovan Clemons (born September 15, 1985) is a former American football safety. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at Clemson University. Early life Clemons attended Desoto County High School in his hometown of Arcadia, Florida. He graduated in 2004. Professional career Miami Dolphins Clemons was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. In Week 12 against the Oakland Raiders, Clemons recorded his first career interception in a 33-17 victory. Set to become an unrestricted free agent for 2013 season, Clemons re-signed with the Dolphins on a one-year contract on March 12, 2013. Strong Safety
Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. The defensive responsibilities of the safety and cornerback usually involve pass coverage towards the middle and sidelines of the field. Tyrann Devine Mathieu (; born May 13, 1992) is an American football safety for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at LSU. In college he developed a reputation for causing turnovers, setting a Southeastern Conference (SEC) record with 11 career forced fumbles and earning the nickname "the Honey Badger" after the mammal of the same name. In his sophomore season, he was recognized as a consensus All-American, won the Chuck Bednarik Award as the best defensive player in college football, and was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.
