Chris Bedia
Chris Vianney Bedia (born 5 March 1996) is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays for German club Union Berlin. He represented the Ivory Coast under-20s in the 2015 Toulon Tournament. Club career Tours Bedia started his career at the age of 18 with Tours FC in Ligue 2. Despite scoring a brace against Brest, he was unable to establish himself and thus transferred to Sporting Charleroi. Sporting Charleroi After his move to Belgium, Bedia had a strong first season but was subsequently rarely utilized. As a result, he was initially loaned to S.V. Zulte Waregem. However, in 17 games, he failed to score a single goal and returned to Charleroi. Despite being used more frequently after a change in coaching staff, the club loaned him to ES Troyes AC on August 14, 2019. The 2019–20 Ligue 2 (referred to as the Domino's Pizza, Domino's Ligue 2 for sponsorship reasons) season was the 81st season since its establishment. The season was suspended indefinitely on 12 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 28 April 2020, the French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe announced that there would be no sporting events, even behind closed doors, before September 2020, thus in effect ending the season. On 30 April 2020, the LFP declared FC Lorient, Lorient as champions of Ligue 2, and that the top two clubs would be promoted to 2020–21 Ligue 1, Ligue 1, meaning RC Lens, Lens were promoted as well. The decision on relegations was deferred to the general assembly of the FFF on 20 May 2020. The Belgian Pro League,(officially the Jupiler Pro League due to sponsorship reasons with Jupiler), is the top league competition for association football clubs in Belgium. Contested by 18 clubs since the 2020–21 season and reduced to 16 teams from the 2023–24 season onwards, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Challenger Pro League. Seasons run from early August to late April, with teams playing 34 matches each in the regular season, and then entering Play-offs I (also known as the ''Championship Playoff'', ''title playoffs'' or ''Champions' play-offs'') or Play-offs II (also known as the ''Europa League playoff'' or ''Europe play-offs'') according to their position in the regular season.
