Chris Adams (rugby League)
Chris Adams (born 12 August 1986) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer. He plays at . He previously played for the Newcastle Knights in the National Rugby League. Background Born in Nambour, Queensland, Adams played his junior football for the Bellingen Magpies, before moving down to the Central Coast, New South Wales in 2005 to play for the Wyong Roos in the Newcastle Rugby League. Playing career Early career In 2006, Adams played for the North Sydney Bears' Jersey Flegg Cup team, before returning to the Wyong Roos in 2007. In 2009, he joined the Cessnock Goannas. In 2010, he was signed by the Central Coast Centurions in the New South Wales Cup, before being elevated to the Newcastle Knights' NRL squad soon after. 2012 In Round 10 of the 2012 NRL season, Adams made his NRL debut for the Knights against the North Queensland Cowboys. 2013 NRL Season
The 2013 NRL season was the 106th season of professional rugby league club competition in Australia. The National Rugby League's main competition, named the 2013 Telstra Premiership after major sponsors Telstra Corporation, was contested by sixteen teams during the regular season, which lasted from March to September, and resulted in the top eight finishing teams, who went on to contest the finals. The season culminated in the Grand Final, in which the Sydney Roosters defeated the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles 26-18 to win their first NRL premiership since 2002. The NRL season started with the 2013 NRL All Stars match, which was played in February. The 2013 Holden Cup, the NRL's Under-20s competition, also took place alongside the Premiership, with most matches held before the first grade competition. Melbourne Storm
The Melbourne Storm are a rugby league club based in Melbourne, Victoria in Australia that participates in the National Rugby League. The first fully professional rugby league team based in the state, the Storm entered the competition in 1998. The Storm were originally a Super League initiative, created in 1997 during the Super League war, however, following the Super League collapse, the team became a part of the newly formed, united competition. The club play their home games at AAMI Park. The Storm have won four premierships since their inception, in 1999, 2012, 2017 and 2020, and have contested several more grand finals, but were stripped of the 2007 and 2009 premierships following salary cap breaches. Lakes United is a rugby league club based in the Newcastle, New South Wales region of Australia. Known as ''The Seagulls'' and wearing Royal blue and Gold, they have been a member of the Newcastle Rugby League since 1947. History Lakes United were successful in their first year in the Newcastle competition winning the competition in 1947. It had players selected to represent Newcastle and the Country Rugby League. The Central Coast Division of Country Rugby League was part of Lake United's junior division in 1947 and subsequent years before expanding. Allan Thomson was selected to play for the Australian national rugby league team while playing for the club in tests against New Zealand during 1967 and France in 1968.
