Chowdhury Paribar
Chowdhury is a title of honour, usually hereditary, originating from the Indian subcontinent. It is an adaption from Sanskrit. During the Mughal rule, it was a title awarded to eminent people, while during British rule, the term was associated with zamindars and social leaders. The common female equivalent was Chowdhurani. Many landlords under the Permanent Settlement carried this surname. Land reforms after the partition of India abolished the permanent settlement. In modern times, the term is a common South Asian surname for both males and females. Chaudhary
Chaudhary (or Choudhary ; also: Chaudhuri, Choudhuary, Chowdhury) is a hereditary title mainly in South Asia, mainly used by Jats, Gurjar and Bhumihars. Chowdhury (Hindi: चौधरी/चौधुरी/चौधारी; Urdu: چودھری/ چوھدری; Bengali: চৌধুরী) a common surname in South Asia. Chaudharys belong from different backgrounds in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh and are not the same people but still have the historical titles. 'Chaudhary' was first bestowed by the various rulers of the Delhi Sultanate, and the custom was continued by the breakaway Bengal Sultanate. Kachari Kingdom
The Dimasa Kingdom (also Kachari kingdom) was a late medieval/early modern kingdom in Assam, Northeast India ruled by Dimasa kings. The Dimasa kingdom and others (Kamata, Chutiya) that developed in the wake of the Kamarupa kingdom were examples of new states that emerged from indigenous communities in medieval Assam as a result of socio-political transformations in these communities. The British finally annexed the kingdom: the plains in 1832 and the hills in 1834. This kingdom gave its name to undivided Cachar district of colonial Assam. And after independence the undivided Cachar district was split into three districts in Assam: Dima Hasao district (formerly ''North Cachar Hills''), Cachar district, Hailakandi district. Mohammad Abdul Munim Chowdhury ( bn, মোহাম্মদ আব্দুল মুনিম চৌধুরী) is a Bangladeshi politician and businessman. He was the former MP of Habiganj-1, representing the Jatiya Party (Ershad), Jatiya Party. Early life Chowdhury was born on 1 November 1967 to a Bengali Muslim family of Chowdhury, Chowdhuries in the village of Kurshi in Nabiganj Upazila, Nabiganj, Habiganj District, Habiganj (then under Sylhet Division, Sylhet district), East Pakistan. Abdul Matin Chowdhury ( bn, আব্দুল মতিন চৌধুরী; 1915 – 19 February 1990), popularly known as Shaikh-e-Fulbari ( bn, শায়খে ফুলবাড়ী, lit=Shaikh of Fulbari, link=no), was a Bengali religious scholar and political activist. Abdul Matin Chowdhury (1 May 1921 – 24 June 1981) was a Bangladeshi academic and physicist. He served as the 14th Vice-chancellor of the University of Dhaka. Education Chowdhury passed entrance examination from Arunchandra High School in Noakhali District in 1937 and intermediate from Dhaka Intermediate College in 1939. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in physics from the University of Dhaka. He obtained Ph.D. in atmospheric physics from University of Chicago in 1949. He completed Ph.D. for the second time in 1961. Career Chowdhury started his career as a meteorologist in the Pakistan Meteorology Department.
