Chottanikkara Amma
''Chottanikkara Amma'' is a 1976 Indian Malayalam film, directed by Crossbelt Mani and produced by Thiruvonam Pictures. The film stars Srividya, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Adoor Bhasi and Hari in the lead roles. The film has musical score by R. K. Shekhar. Plot A family of four visit the temple of the almighty Chottanikkara Devi (Srividya) to get rid of the evil possessing their daughter. They are aided by a humble saint, who provides them shelter and other needs. The saint then narrates the story of how the temple came into existence and other legends associated with the temple. Later, they enter the temple, where they witness the Keezhkavu pooja. During this time, Chottanikkara Devi battles the evil being and frees their daughter from possession. Crossbelt Mani
K. Velayudhan Nair, better known by his stage name Crossbelt Mani (22 April 1935 – 30 October 2021), was an Indian film director and cinematographer, who worked in the Malayalam cinema. He directed more than 40 Malayalam movies and worked as a cinematographer for ten movies. He became popular with his second movie ''Cross Belt'' in 1970 and adopted ''Crossbelt'' to his name. Veteran director Joshiy worked as an assistant director under him. Personal life Velayudhan Nair with the stage name Crossbelt Mani hailed from Thiruvananthapuram. He was born to Valiyashalayil Madhavivilasathu Krishna Pillai and Kamalamma on 22 April 1935. He was married to Iranayil Bhagavathimandirathu Sreemathiyamma. They had a son, Krishnakumar, and a daughter, Roopa. Mani died on 30 October 2021, at the age of 86 at his home in Thiruvananthapuram. Vincent (12 February 1946 - 30 August 1991) was an Indian actor from Kerala. He was active during the 1970s and 80s and acted in about 160+ Malayalam films, many of them as leading actor.
