Chopped (TV Series)
''Chopped'' is an American reality-based cooking television game show series created by Michael Krupat, Dave Noll and Linda Lea. It is hosted by Ted Allen. The series pits four chefs against each other as they compete for a chance to win $10,000. The series debuted in 2009, and episodes air every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on Food Network. A dessert-themed spin-off titled ''Chopped Sweets'' premiered on February 3, 2020, with Scott Conant as host. Format In each episode, four chefs compete in a three-round contest, where they attempt to incorporate unusual combinations of ingredients into dishes that are later evaluated by a panel of three judges. Ted Allen
Edward Reese Allen (born May 20, 1965) is an American author and television personality. He was the food and wine connoisseur on the Bravo network's television program '' Queer Eye'', and has been the host of the TV cooking competition series ''Chopped'' since its launch in 2009, as well as ''Chopped Junior'', which began in mid-2015. On April 13, 2014, he became the host of another Food Network show, originally called ''America's Best Cook''; a retooled version of that show, retitled ''All-Star Academy,'' debuted on March 1, 2015. In early 2015, he also hosted a four-part special, ''Best. Ever.'' which scoured America for its best burgers, pizza, breakfast, and barbecue. Ice cream is a sweetened frozen food typically eaten as a snack or dessert. ''Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off'' is an American cooking competition series that premiered on Food Network on January 1, 2012. The series pits Team Captains Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri against each other in determining who is the best cooking mentor toward their team of four celebrities. Each week, one celebrity will be eliminated, with the "last star standing" winning a $50,000.00 cash donation toward their charity. The series premiere earned 3.524 million viewers, and a rating of 1.1; it ranked 3rd overall in the cable ratings that night. Angie Mar
Angie Mar (born 1982) is an American chef and restaurateur. She owns and operates Les Trois Chevaux in New York City. Career Mar was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Before becoming a chef, she was based in Los Angeles as a real estate agent. She moved to New York in 2010 and enrolled at the French Culinary Institute. She subsequently worked at several restaurants in Brooklyn, including Reynard, Diner, and Marlow & Sons, before becoming sous-chef at The Spotted Pig. In 2013, she became the fourth executive chef at The Beatrice Inn in Manhattan, owned by '' Vanity Fair'' writer Graydon Carter. Texas Lutheran University (TLU) is a Private university, private Evangelical Lutheran Church in America university in Seguin, Texas. History The university traces its roots back to 1891, to an academy of the first German Evangelical Lutheran Synod in Texas, in Brenham, Texas, Brenham. ''Iron Chef America'' is an American cooking show based on Fuji Television's ''Iron Chef'', and is the second American adaptation of the series, following the failed ''Iron Chef USA'' that aired in 2001. The show is produced by Food Network, which also carried a dubbed version of the original ''Iron Chef''. Like the original Japanese program, the program is a culinary game show. Kawasaki Disease
Kawasaki disease is a syndrome of unknown cause that results in a fever and mainly affects children under 5 years of age. It is a form of vasculitis, where blood vessels become inflamed throughout the body. The fever typically lasts for more than five days and is not affected by usual medications. Other common symptoms include large lymph nodes in the neck, a rash in the genital area, lips, palms, or soles of the feet, and red eyes. Within three weeks of the onset, the skin from the hands and feet may peel, after which recovery typically occurs. In some children, coronary artery aneurysms form in the heart. While the specific cause is unknown, it is thought to result from an excessive immune system response to an infection in children who are genetically predisposed. It does not spread between people. The Chihuahua or es, Chihuahueño, italic=no is a Mexican breed of toy dog. It is named for the Mexican state of Chihuahua and is among the smallest of all dog breeds. It is usually kept as a companion animal or for showing.
