Chopin Piano Fest Pristina
Chopin Piano Fest Prishtina is a festival that was established in Pristina, Prishtina, Republic of Kosovo, Kosovo, by the Kosova Chopin Association, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary, in 2010, of the birth of the composer Frédéric Chopin. Formation The Festival was the result of joint efforts by Dr. Lejla Pula-Haxhiu (Artistic Director) and Besa Luzha (Secretary General and Festival Manager). Initially formed only to celebrate the 200th birth of Chopin, the Festival was a great success and was greatly appreciated by the Kosovan audience. As a result, the Festival was organized annually until 2014, in the spring of each year. The Festival was considered a national treasure. Giuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi (; 9 or 10 October 1813 – 27 January 1901) was an Italian composer best known for his operas. He was born near Busseto to a provincial family of moderate means, receiving a musical education with the help of a local patron.
