Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them. 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualification
The 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualification was the qualification tournament for the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup. A total of twelve teams qualified to play in the final tournament in India. The host country India and the top three teams of the previous tournament in 2018 qualified automatically, while the other eight teams were decided by qualification, with the matches played between 17 and 29 September and 18–24 October 2021 in centralised venues. This tournament also served as the first stage of Asian qualification for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, where five teams from the Women's Asian Cup qualify directly for the World Cup (plus co-hosts Australia), and two teams qualify for a 10-team playoff tournament. Hwaseong () is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It has the largest area of farmland of any city or county in Gyeonggi Province. 2022 EAFF E-1 Football Championship (women)
The 2022 EAFF E-1 Football Championship was an association football tournament organized by the East Asian Football Federation. It was the 8th edition of the EAFF E-1 Football Championship, the football championship of East Asia. The finals were originally scheduled to be held in China, but it was announced on 19 April 2022 that Japan would host the finals. It was Japan's third time hosting the tournament. There were no preliminary rounds conducted. After North Korea withdrew from the competition, the remaining slot for the participating teams was awarded to Chinese Taipei based upon the FIFA rankings as of 31 March 2022.
