Chloé Pelle
Chloé Pelle (born 14 November 1989 in Paris) is a French international rugby union and rugby sevens player who has played for RC Chilly-Mazarin as a wing since 2020 and for the France women's national rugby union team since 2011. Biography Pelle was born in Paris. As a youth, she played basketball. At the age of 20, she enrolled at the Ecole Centrale de Lille. She then started playing rugby sevens at the school and joined the Lille Metropole Rugby Club Villeneuve. She graduated with a degree in engineering and mathematics. She is a cybersecurity analyst at a large French bank. Career Pelle played for Lille Métropole Rugby Club Villeneuvois from 2010 to 2018. In June 2018, she left Lille Métropole RCV to join Stade français, with whom she played for two years. She currently plays for RC Chilly-Mazarin. The women's tournament for the 2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens was held in Cape Town, South Africa from September 9 to 11 at the Cape Town Stadium. 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup
The 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup was the eighth edition of the Women's Rugby World Cup and was held in Ireland in August 2017. New Zealand became the 2017 champions by beating England 41–32 in the final on 26 August. Matches were held in Dublin and Belfast. The pool stages were held at University College Dublin with the semi finals and finals held at Queen's University and Kingspan Stadium in Belfast. The tournament took place three rather than four years after the previous Women's Rugby World Cup because World Rugby wanted to move away from clashing with other events. The event returned to a four-year cycle after 2017. The 2017 tournament set attendance records for a Women's World Cup. The tournament drew 45,412 fans over 30 matches. Rugby World Cup Sevens (RWCS) is the quadrennial world championship of rugby sevens, a variant of rugby union. Organised by World Rugby, it currently consists of men's and women's tournaments, and is the highest level of competition in the sport outside of the Summer Olympics. The first tournament was held in 1993 in Scotland, and was won by England. The winners of the men's tournament are awarded the Melrose Cup, named after the Scottish town of Melrose where the first rugby sevens game was played.
