Broussard is a city in Lafayette and St. Martin parishes in the U.S. state of Louisiana. The population was 8,197 at the 2010 U.S. census, and 13,417 at the 2020 United States census. History The community was originally named ''Côte Gelée'' (Frozen Hill) because of its hilly ridge area and the severe winter of 1784. Broussard was founded in 1884. It was named after Valsin Broussard, a prominent local merchant, who formed the first vigilante committee when his own store was robbed. He was a direct descendant of Joseph Broussard de Beausoleil, one of the first 200 Acadians to arrive in Louisiana on February 27, 1765, aboard the ''Santo Domingo''. Primary agricultural resources include sugarcane, soybean and hay production as well as horse and cattle farming. 2019 Korn Ferry Tour
The 2019 Korn Ferry Tour was the 30th season of the top developmental tour for the PGA Tour in men's golf. The season began under the Web.com Tour name but changed in June to the Korn Ferry Tour. The season ran from January 13 to September 2 and consists of 27 official money tournaments, four of them played outside of the United States. Lee Dong-hwan
Lee Dong-hwan ( ko, 이동환; born 9 April 1987), also known as D. H. Lee, is a South Korean professional golfer. Professional career Lee played on the Japan Golf Tour where he has won twice: the Gateway to The Open Mizuno Open Yomiuri Classic in 2007 and the Toshin Golf Tournament in LakeWood in 2011. Lee was a medalist at the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament in December 2012 and began to play on the PGA Tour in 2013. In 2017, Lee claimed his first Web.com Tour win at the United Leasing & Finance Championship. He shot a final round 74 to beat Jason Gore by one shot. With three top-25 finishes in the 2017 season, Lee finished 20th on the Regular Season money list. Rhein Gibson
Rhein Gibson (born 1 February 1986) is an Australian professional golfer. Amateur career Gibson was a four-time NAIA All-American at Oklahoma Christian University. Professional career Gibson made the cut at the 2014 Open Championship, where in the 3rd round he played in a group with Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth. Gibson ultimately finished in 72nd place. Kelly Kraft
Kelly Kraft (born October 5, 1988) is an American professional golfer. Amateur career Kraft was born in Denton, Texas. During his final year at Billy Ryan High School, 2006–07, Kraft served as team captain while earning All-District honors. While attending Southern Methodist University (SMU), he played college golf for the SMU Mustangs. Kraft won the 2011 Trans-Mississippi Amateur in July.
