Lynn Reynolds
Lynn Fairfield Reynolds (May 7, 1889 – February 25, 1927) was an American director and screenwriter. Reynolds directed more than 80 films between 1915 and 1928. He also wrote for 58 films between 1914 and 1927. Reynolds was born in Harlan, Iowa and died in Los Angeles, California, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Death Returning home in 1927 after being snowbound in the Sierras for three weeks, Reynolds telephoned his wife, actress Kathleen O'Connor, to arrange a dinner party at their Hollywood home with another couple. During the dinner, Reynolds and O'Connor engaged in a heated quarrel in which each accused the other of infidelity. With his guests following in an attempt to calm him down, Reynolds left the table to retrieve a pistol from another room where he shot himself in the head. DeWitt Clarke Jennings (June 21, 1871 – March 1, 1937) was an American film and stage actor. He appeared in 17 Broadway theatre, Broadway plays between 1906 and 1920, and in more than 150 films between 1915 and 1937. Biography He was born in Cameron, Missouri on June 21, 1871 to Georgia S. and Oliver A. Jennings. In 1935, Jennings played Sailing Master Fryer in ''Mutiny on the Bounty (1935 film), Mutiny on the Bounty'' with Clark Gable and Charles Laughton. He died in Hollywood, California on March 1, 1937. Willie Fung
Willie Fung (3 March 1896 – 16 April 1945) was a Chinese-American film actor who played supporting roles in 125 American films between 1922 and 1944. Like many Chinese actors working in Hollywood during the era, he often played Japanese characters. Biography Born in Canton, China, Fung made a name for himself as an actor on the stage in San Francisco. After moving to Los Angeles after his uncle's business collapsed during the depression, Fung — who was reportedly an acquaintance of Jean Harlow's — made his film debut in 1922 in ''Hurricane's Gal''. The majority of his roles were in Westerns and dramas. Although he was relegated to often-cartoonish bit parts due to the racism of the day, behind the scenes, he made an impact by advocating for fairer treatment of actors by the studios. Gilbert "Pee Wee" Holmes was a Canadian actor and stunt performer known for his short stature. He appeared in more than 70 Hollywood films between 1920 and 1934, and often co-starred in Tom Mix comedy Westerns. Biography Gilbert was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, and raised in Miles City, Montana. Before he became an actor, he competed in rodeos around the United States. In the early 1920s, he began appearing in Hollywood westerns. During that decade, he and Ben Corbett produced and starred in a series of comedy shorts that ran before Universal's feature-length Westerns. He died on August 17, 1936, in Los Angeles, California.
