Chip Lain
Chip Lain (born October 5, 1958) is an American former stock car racing driver who competed in the NASCAR Late Model Sportsman Series (now the NASCAR Xfinity Series) between 1982 and 1983. During this time, Lain competed in 19 races, failing to reach the top 10 and achieving a career best 12th at Hickory Motor Speedway in 1983. Lain owned Connie Saylor's car for four races in 1985. He was also crew chief for Frank Fleming in six races during the 1990 season. He currently is an instructor and the program director for the Richard Childress Race car Technology program at Forsyth Technical Community College. Frank Fleming (racing Driver)
Frank Fleming (born July 25, 1959) is an American stock car racing driver. Fleming previously competed in the NASCAR Busch Series and the NASCAR Southern Modified Tour. Currently, he competes in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. Fleming competed in 10 NASCAR Busch Series races between 1988 and 1991. During the 1990 season, Fleming's crew chief was former NASCAR driver Chip Lain. His best career Busch Series finish was a 20th at Daytona International Speedway in 1990. Fleming competed in a total of 106 NASCAR Southern Modified Tour races between 2005 and 2015. During this span, Fleming achieved 66 top tens, 1 pole position, and 1 win. Kernersville is a town in Forsyth County and the largest suburb of Winston-Salem. The town is located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. A small portion of the town is also in Guilford County. The population was 26,481 at the 2020 census, up from 23,123 in 2010. Kernersville is located at the center of the Piedmont Triad metropolitan area, between Greensboro to the east, High Point to the south, and Winston-Salem to the west. The ToyotaCare 250 is a NASCAR Xfinity Series race that takes place at Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Virginia. The race was first held during the inaugural season for the Xfinity Series in 1982 as a 150-lap event. The race was removed from the schedule after 1984. It returned to the series starting in 1990 as a 200 lap race. It was expanded to 250 lap distance in 1994. In 2016, as part of an overhauling of the Richmond spring race weekend, including the new Dash4Cash format, the total of 210-laps and had two 35-lap heat races and a 140-lap feature. In 2017, the heat races were discontinued (as a result of stage racing being implemented that year), and the race returned to its 250-lap distance with the new stage format: stages 1 and 2 were 75 laps long, and stage 3 made up the remaining 100 laps. The Alsco Uniforms 300 is an annual 300-mile (482.803 km) NASCAR Xfinity Series race held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina during Memorial Day weekend as a support race for the Coca-Cola 600. The race's origins trace back to 1978, when a it was a NASCAR Late Model Sportsman Series race was held the day before the World 600. In 1982 it became a Busch Series race. The race celebrated its 40th running in 2018, and is considered one of the more popular races on the Xfinity Series schedule. From its inception through 2004, the race was scheduled for Saturday afternoon. In 1985 only, it was held the same day as The Winston. Lights were installed at Charlotte in 1993, and from 2005 to 2009 the race was a Saturday night race. The A-GAME 200 is a NASCAR Xfinity Series stock car racing, stock car race that takes place during the spring at Dover Motor Speedway. History The race was broadcast in the United States on NASCAR on ESPN, ESPN until 2015, when the race moved to NASCAR on Fox, Fox. In 2016, the race was moved to the second week of May because of the NASCAR All-Star Race, and was 200 laps in total with two 40 lap heats and 120 lap main as part of the Xfinity 'Dash 4 Cash' program.
