Chip Jett
Charles McRae "Chip" Jett (born September 22, 1974 in Scottsdale, Arizona) is an American professional poker player from Las Vegas, Nevada. He is one of the most popular players on the World Poker Tour. Jett has been known as "Chip" ever since he left the hospital when he was born. The nickname was suggested by a nurse to Jett's parents. His name is considered to be an aptronym. Jett began working as a poker dealer in an Indian casino, but turned into a professional player when he realized he was making more money as a player. Jett finished 2nd to Howard Lederer in the World Poker Tour (WPT) PartyPoker.com Million II cruise event in March 2003. Later in the same year he made 2 World Series of Poker (WSOP) final tables, and another WPT final table in the Legends of Poker event won by Mel Judah. 2006 World Series Of Poker
The 2006 World Series of Poker (WSOP) began on June 25, 2006 with satellite events, with regular play commencing on June 26 with the annual Casino Employee event, and the Tournament of Champions held on June 28 and 29. 40 more events in various disciplines including Omaha, seven-card stud and razz, plus ladies' and senior tournaments led up to the 10,000 US$ no-limit Texas hold 'em main event starting July 28 and running through the final table on August 10. Old Billingsgate Market is the name given to what is now a hospitality and events venue in the City of London, based in the Victorian architecture, Victorian building that was originally Billingsgate Fish Market, the world's largest fish market in the 19th century. Karina Niki Jett (née Mikelis) is a professional poker player. She may be best known for her appearances on the GSN series Poker Royale Battle of the Sexes. Seven-card Stud
Seven-card stud, also known as Seven-Toed Pete or Down-The-River is a variant of stud poker. Before the 2000s surge of popularity of Texas hold 'em, seven-card stud was the most widely played poker variant in home games across the United States, and in casinos in the eastern part of the country. Although seven-card stud isn't as common in casinos today, it is still played online. The game is commonly played with two to eight players, though eight may require special rules for the last cards dealt if no players fold. With experienced players who fold often, playing with nine players is possible. In casino play, it is common to use a small ante and bring-in. In home games, it is typical to use an ante only. 2005 World Series Of Poker
The 2005 World Series of Poker opened play on June 2nd, continuing through the Main Event No Limit World Championship starting on July 7th. The conclusion of the Main Event on July 15th marked the close of play, and the largest prize in sports and/or television history at the time ($7,500,000) was awarded to the winner. ESPN's broadcast began July 19th with coverage of WSOP Circuit Tournaments, and coverage of the Main Event began October 11th and ended November 15th. All events were held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino with the exception of the final 2 days of the Main Event which were held at Binion's Horseshoe. Mel Judah
Mel Judah (born 8 October 1947 in Kolkata, India) is an Australian professional poker player, also known as "The Silver Fox" (a nickname he shares with fellow poker player Peter Costa). He learned poker at the age of 14 by watching his father play 5-card draw. He has had several noticeable finishes in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and the World Poker Tour (WPT). He won his first World Series of Poker bracelet in the 1989 in the $1,500 Seven Card Stud event. Judah won his second bracelet at the 1997 $5,000 Seven Card Stud event, defeating Vasilis Lazarou who has also won two WSOP bracelets in seven card stud tournaments. He was also at the final table of the 1997 World Series of Poker main event, won by Stu Ungar, eventually coming in third place, and earning $371,000.
