Chinwe Veronica Anunobi
Chinwe Veronica Anunobi is a Nigerian professor of library and information sciences and the chief executive officer of the National Library of Nigeria. Early life and education Anunobi holds a bachelor's degree in Biology (Education) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 1992. She furthered her education with a Master of Library Science (MLS) degree in 1997 from Imo State University, Owerri, consolidating her foundation in library science. In 2006, she attained her Ph.D. in Library & Information Science from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She is also a graduate of Galilee International Management Institute (GIMI) Israel. The Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) is a federal government university in Owerri West, the capital of Imo State, Nigeria. The university is bounded by the communities of Eziobodo, Umuchima, Ihiagwa and Obinze. It is the premier federal university of technology in the South-East and South-South parts of Nigeria. Mortenson Center For International Library Programs
The Mortenson Center for International Library Programs was created in 1991 with a gift from C. Walter and Gerda B. Mortenson to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Center promotes international peace through library training programs. The Mortenson Center has worked with several grant agencies, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to develop training programs for librarians in developing countries. They have also worked with the Carnegie Corporation and Mellon Foundation to support education efforts in African libraries. Awka () is the capital city of Anambra State, Nigeria. The city was declared capital on 21 August 1991, after the creation of Anambra and Enugu state, which moved the capital from Enugu to Awka (an administrative center since pre.-colonial times).
