Chinglensana Singh Kangujam
Chinglensana Singh Kangujam (born 2 December 1991) is an Indian field hockey player who plays as a halfback. He made his debut in the Indian team in 2012, and plays for Dabang Mumbai in the Hockey India League. Career International career Singh was named as a stand-by player for the 2011 Champions Trophy in Ordos City, China, and was selected in the main squad following the dropping out of two players. However, he missed out as his passport was not ready at the time. Eventually, he made his debut in 2011, at the Champions Challenge I in South Africa. He was a part of the team that competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, finishing second, and a ninth-place finish at the 2014 World Cup. In the same year, he won the gold medal with the team at the Asian Games in Incheon. Men's FIH Hockey World League
The Men's FIH Hockey World League was an international field hockey competition organised by the International Hockey Federation. The league also served as a qualifier for the 2014 and 2018 Men's Hockey World Cups and the 2016 Olympic Games. Three seasons were held in 2012–13, 2014–15 and 2016-17. It was replaced by the new Men's FIH Pro League and Hockey Series in 2018-19. Format The tournament featured four rounds. For each edition the FIH decides the number of events and teams for each round. The number of Round 1 events varied in each cycle depending on the number of participating national teams. Hockey India League
Hockey India League (HIL), known as the Coal India Hockey India League is a professional field hockey league in India. The league is organized by Hockey India, the governing body for the sport in India. HIL, along with the Indian Premier League, Indian Super League, and Pro Kabaddi League, is considered one of the major sports leagues in the country. HIL consists of six teams, with the regular season lasting two months from January to February, with each team playing 10 games. The top four teams at the end of the season move into the play-offs, where the championship game decides the Hockey India League winner. Monarch Padma (Bengali: মনার্ক পদ্মা) is a professional franchise field hockey team based in Faridpur, representing the Padma Division. It participates in the Hockey Champions Trophy Bangladesh. The men's field hockey event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games was held at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre from 25 July to 3 August 2014. Australia defeated India in the final to take their fifth consecutive gold medal at the Commonwealth Games, whilst England defeated New Zealand on penalties in the bronze medal match. Competition format Two groups each of five teams were drawn. The Hero Asian Champions Trophy 2018 was held at Muscat, Oman between October 18–28, 2018. It was the fifth edition of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy, a field hockey tournament for the six best Asian national teams. This was announced by the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) on 29 January 2018. The Oman Hockey Association hosted the tournament. The 5th edition of the biennial event took place at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.
