Chinese Taipei Football Association
Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA) is the governing body for football in the Republic of China (commonly known as Taiwan). Its official name in Chinese is the Republic of China Football Association, but due to the political status of Taiwan it is billed abroad as the "Chinese Taipei Football Association" and uses the English initials TPE on its badge. The CTFA organizes the men's and women's national teams and administers the territory's professional league the Taiwan Football Premier League. As members of East Asian Football Federation its national teams are eligible for the EAFF E-1 Football Championship and the country's membership in AFC allows teams to participate in that organizations club and national team competitions. Taiwan is also a member of FIFA and is therefore eligible to play in the World Cup. 2018 AFC U-19 Championship
The 2018 AFC U-19 Championship was the 40th edition of the biennial international youth football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-19 national teams of Asia. It took place in Indonesia, which was appointed as the host by the AFC on 25 July 2017, between 18 October and 4 November 2018. A total of 16 teams played in the tournament. The top four teams of the tournament qualified for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland as the AFC representatives. Saudi Arabia won their third title, and qualified together with runners-up South Korea and semi-finalists Qatar and Japan, which were the defending champions but eliminated by Saudi Arabia. The Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU; ) is a private medical school located in Sanmin District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. History The university was originally established as Kaohsiung Medical College in 1954 by the former mayor of Kaohsiung City, Chen Chi-chuan, and Tu Tsung-ming, the first Ph.D. of Medical Sciences in Taiwan. The ''Guang Da Xing No. 28'' incident was a fatal shooting incident that occurred on 9 May 2013 involving the 15-ton Taiwanese fishing boat ''Guang Da Xing No. 28'' and the 90-ton Philippine Coast Guard patrol boat ''Maritime Control Surveillance 3001'', resulting in the death of a 65-year old Taiwanese fisherman Hung Shih-cheng (洪石成) by gunfire from the Philippine vessel. 2018 AFC U-19 Championship Qualification
The 2018 AFC U-19 Championship qualification was an international men's under-19 football competition to decide the participating teams for the 2018 AFC U-19 Championship. A total of 16 teams qualified to play in the final tournament, including Indonesia who qualified automatically as hosts. Draw Of the 47 AFC member associations, a total of 43 teams entered the competition. The final tournament hosts Indonesia also entered in qualification despite having automatically qualified for the final tournament (they had not been confirmed as hosts at the time of the qualification draw).
