Chinese Million Star 1
The first season of ''Chinese Million Star'', began on July 3, 2011, is a Taiwanese televised singing competition, the last episode aired on January 8, 2012, with a special episode airing on January 15, 2012. The first season consist of 28 episodes. The first season of ''Chinese Million Star'' was won by Taiwan-American singer Sharon Kwan, while Li Qian and Malaysian Singer Nicole Lai named runner-up and third place, respectively. Lai was named the "Most Popular" singer of the season. Production Contestants Episodes Episode 1 *Contestants will each be given 30 seconds to impress the judges with their vocals. *Each of the 5 judges will vote, 3 stars and above, the contestant will advanced to the next stage. 2 stars will require the contestants to perform his/her best song to gain another vote, if not, he/she will be deemed to be failed. Il Volo (; Italian for "The Flight") is an Italian operatic pop trio, consisting of baritone Gianluca Ginoble, and tenors Piero Barone and Ignazio Boschetto. They describe their music as "popera". One Million Star
''One Million Star'' () is a television singing competition in Taiwan broadcast on China Television (CTV). It debuted on 5 January 2007, filling the 10pm to midnight time slot on Friday evenings. The show is hosted by Tao Ching-Ying (陶晶瑩) and is currently shown on Sundays from 8 to 10pm. The aim of the show is to gather talented young singers and find the one who has the best qualities to become a superstar. One Million Star launched the music careers of Mandopop artists such as Yoga Lin, Aska Yang, Wong JingLun and Jam Hsiao. Timon and Pumbaa are an animated meerkat and warthog duo introduced in Disney's 1994 animated film ''The Lion King'' and its franchise. Jess Lee (Malaysian Singer)
Jess Lee Kar Wei (; Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: ''Lí Kâi-vì'', born June 1, 1988 in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia), is a finalist and grand winner of the popular televised singing competition One Million Star (7th Season) in Taiwan. Aska Yang (, Born April 4, 1978 in Taoyuan City (now Taoyuan District), Taiwan) is a Taiwanese Mandopop singer. China Television Company, Ltd. (CTV; ) (Formerly called Taiwan Daytime TV (TDT) in 1969-1975) is a television broadcasting company based in Taipei, Taiwan. It was established on September 3, 1968, by the then-ruling Nationalist Party (KMT) of the Republic of China. The party owned the majority stake of the network.
