Zhang Peimeng (; born March 13, 1987) is a retired Chinese track and field sprinter who specialized in the 200 metres and currently a skeleton racer. His personal best time is 20.47 seconds, achieved in May 2013 in Shanghai. In the 100 metres he has 10.00 seconds, achieved in August 2013 in Moscow. He represented China at the Summer Olympics twice (2008 and 2012). He was the 100 m gold medallist at the 2009 Asian Athletics Championships and was the silver medallist in that event at the 2007 Summer Universiade. Summary Since 2008, all of the major gold medals had been won by either reigning Olympic champion Kirani James or defending champion LaShawn Merritt. In the final, both were out ahead, along with Wayde van Niekerk and Isaac Makwala, Africans with none of those credentials. Through the final turn, van Niekerk took sole possession of the lead, Makwala passed James to hit the home stretch with a slight advantage in second. Far off the pace was Luguelín Santos. Down the home stretch, Makwala was unable to hold his position and was passed by a burst from James. The men's long jump at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics was held at the Beijing National Stadium on 24 and 25 August. In the finals were the defending champion Aleksandr Menkov, Olympic Champion Greg Rutherford and world leader Jeff Henderson, however world #2-4 Zarck Visser, Rushwahl Samaai and Marquis Dendy were unable to get out of the rounds. Henderson was the top qualifier with an 8.36 automatic first attempt trial. Three Chinese jumpers made the final at home. The Chinese made a statement in the first round as both Wang Jianan and Gao Xinglong jumped 8.14 to share the lead. Menkov jumped 8.02 to take the third spot while Rutherford, Henderson and four other jumpers were unable to land a legal jump. Wang Jianan (; born 27 August 1996) is a Chinese track and field athlete who competes in the long jump. He competed in a heptathlon and a decathlon in 2012 but showed his aptitude for the long jump by winning at the Chinese Athletics Championships. Zhang Guowei (; born June 4, 1991) is a Chinese high jumper. He holds the Chinese indoor record of 2.33 metres, and has jumped 2.38 metres outdoors.
